Buy self-hosted providers
Self-hosted providers are bought one by one, for one type at a time, and only for self-hosted backends. A provider you hold for hosted backends does not cover a self-hosted one, and your plan makes no difference.
You can buy after a trial, or straight away. An order needs your organization's billing details, which only owners can fill in.
Order
Open Backend store, switch it to Self-hosted, find the type you want, and use Buy on it.
- How you pay:
- Yearly, on invoice: two months free, and the image needs no connection to us. The dialog starts here.
- Monthly, by card: cancel any month. The image fetches its license from one address of ours, so it needs a route to us.
- Providers: every provider of the type starts selected. Clear the ones you do not need, and the price follows.
- Who the invoice goes to: your billing details, the same ones as under Billing. The order cannot go through until every required field is filled in.
- Anything we should know? Yearly only: a purchase order number to quote, or an invoice in another currency.

Yearly, on invoice
Choose Place the order. We check the order and send an invoice, due 30 days after the order. Until it is paid, the order is listed under Billing, in Orders, and nothing is licensed.
Once the invoice is paid, the providers are yours for a year, and every self-hosted backend of that type gets the new license:
- An image that fetches its license picks it up within the hour.
- An image that carries its license needs the new license file mounted, or a new build.

Monthly, by card
Choose Pay and pay by card. The first charge covers the days until the 1st, and each month after that renews on the 1st.
A monthly image always fetches its license, which is how each paid month reaches it. If a payment fails, the license keeps running for 7 days while the payment is retried.
The subscription is listed under Billing, in Subscriptions, which is also where you cancel it. The providers then stay in your license until the end of the month you paid for.

Adding providers later
- Monthly: the type now offers Add providers instead of Buy. An added provider is licensed at once, and the invoice on the 1st charges it for the days until then and for the month after.
- Yearly: order the new providers by the year, the same way as the first ones.
An image that fetches its license takes the new one within the hour. Either way, an image serves only the providers it was built with, so it needs a new build to serve an added one.
A type is paid one way at a time. To move from monthly to yearly, cancel the monthly subscription first.
